At Last Frontier Heliskiing we offer a range heliskiing packages to suit the unique preferences of our skiers and boarders. We can offer trips from short, intensive four-day escapes, to longer and more exotic heliski safaris. Whatever your aspirations are, we will see to it that you will get the most out of your time in the mountains of Northern British Columbia.
Regardless of which of the six unique heliski tours you decide to participate in, we can guarantee the following. You will be skiing the largest single heli ski area on the planet, which gives us the flexibility to work with the weather and find the best available conditions. We’ll never guarantee you waist deep powder every day – but it happens on a regular basis, which is why year after year our guests continue to return. You will also have access to the very best and most qualified (A.C.M.G. or U.I.A.G.M. certified) guides. The terrain you’ll experience will be varied with wide, open bowls, epic tree runs and steeps (snow stability depending). Since we only ski with small groups, you won’t have to worry about group slow downs and traffic jams. Lastly with our vertical drop guarantee you know that you are getting exactly what you paid for, without running the risk of paying for vertical in advance that you may never be able to ski.
The standard packages we offer come in 7, 5, or 4 day tours. You have the choice to stay in either two of our heli ski accommodation options, Bell 2 Lodge or Ripley Creek Inn. Regardless of which one you decide to stay at, you will receive accommodation with an on-suite bathroom and all meals and soft drinks included. Powder skis, poles, transceivers and ABS airbags are also provided, as are the guides and guiding services. Also the ground transfers from Smithers or Terrace to your lodge are included. Each lodge has it’s own personality, and the areas skied are slightly different, but both provide immense satisfaction.
For the ultimate, all-inclusive heliskiing package we have the Lodge-to-Lodge safari. This is best for those who want to see and do it all, or those who can’t decide which location they would prefer to ski. Over the seven-day tour, four nights are spent at the Bell 2 Lodge, and three are at the Ripley Creek Inn. Combining the epic tree runs and glacier skiing of the Coastal Mountains, by Ripley Creek, and the awesome, legendary terrain of the Skeena Mountains; you’ll have the ski trip of a lifetime!
One option, operating out of Ripley, is a package focused towards the most adventurous and expert skiers. ‘Rippin at Ripley’ only takes place over a few weeks of the season, and always with no more than two groups of five skiers. For those that want to sample the terrain that will make your heart thump, this is a high spirited and high speed tour, bound to leave your legs burning and your mind boggling at the severely steep tree sections, and vast glacial terrain on offer.
Lastly, the gold standard of heliskiing packages is our Private Tour. A private pilot and guides with virtually unlimited skiing or boarding: you choose how much you want to do, and at whichever pace you like. With a meet-and-greet at Vancouver Airport, limousine transfer to your hotel, and full use of the services at the Bell 2 Lodge, this is the ultimate way to sample heliskiing in style with us at Last Frontier.
