January 2026 Conditions Report
The 2026 heliski season kicked off with our 7th annual Heligrass live music event at Bell 2 Lodge. It was a roof-lifter with super deep conditions by day and intimate jamgrass sets at night. After receiving upwards of 2 meters of snow in early January, the weather made an abrupt u-turn in mid-January. Clear skies and above seasonal temps have delivered almost spring-like conditions this week. Under clear skies we have been able to stretch out to the far reaches of our tenure and ski big lines that often don’t come into play until late-season. The current high pressure system is expected to break down by Sunday and we are looking forward to a healthy snow reset.

It wasn’t until 2011, however, that he left a career in real estate consulting to join the Last Frontier team.
