Conditions Update: A Snowy Start to the Year

This Saturday [December 22nd], is our big day with three groups from Austria making the first turns of the season.

The start to this winter has been classic El Niño – tons of precipitation and slightly warmer temps than usual. We racked up over 100 cm of fresh snow last week [read more], which brought our snowbase to over 150 cm at 1,000 m and over 240 cm at 1,500 m. Both are about average for this time of the year, but well above last year. A cold front [-8°C to -15°C @ Bell 2 Lodge] has now approached and we expect that the snow will stay well preserved.
