January SKi Report
It’s hard to believe we are already five weeks into our 2023 heliski season. 50cm of storm snow arrived just in time for Christmas providing super fun tree skiing. When the skies cleared, we enjoyed that magical January light and great snow up high. Low visibility made for some challenging conditions but the guides and pilots managed to keep the ski program uninterrupted into the middle of January. From January 8-13th the acoustic melody of bluegrass reverberated through Bell 2 Lodge in our 3rd HeliGrass week. As we head into the tail-end of January, we have been blessed with over 160 cm of storm snow. All that fresh did come at the expense of some no-fly days at both locations, but we are happy to report that our snowpack is back at seasonal levels as we head into February.
