Late October Snow Report
A low pressure system delivered up to 60cm of storm snow between October 25 and 27th at treeline. With freezing levels down in the 500 to 600 meter range, most of our ski terrain is now seeing steady snow buildup, which is great news for our 2025 heliski season that kicks off on December 29th at Bell 2 Lodge. LA Nina weather patterns are expected to build in the coming months, but already we are seeing above seasonal moisture this Fall.
A huge thanks to the crew at Yellowhead Helicopters who are working in the Stewart and Bell 2 Lodge areas over the past week. They have sent me several batches of photos from the air, which gives us a pretty good idea of the alpine snow coverage.
At Bell 2 Lodge, which sits in the valley bottom at 550m in elevation, we received our first snow dustings of the season.
Stay tuned for further weather updates via our weather conditions portal. The local weather stations are now active, so we will report snowbase and temps on a weekly basis.
