Heliskiing Prices: Get the best with our Vertical Drop Guarantee

Why would you pay a premium up front for skiing you may never get? This is the question we asked ourselves here at Last Frontier when we devised our heli ski price guide. Paying for more than you receive, in our eyes, is not fair business practice, so we sought a better way to set our heliskiing prices. This is why we have come up with a ‘Vertical Drop Guarantee‘, leaving you, the skiers, and us as an operator, equally happy.

Our guaranteed vertical system works as follows: As the operator we offer a predefined set of services, such as accommodation in our lodges, first class meals, and of course helicopter transportation and guiding services. As the customer, you are aware of what you are paying for, and have set your expectations as accordingly.

We therefore offer a 100% guarantee that if we can’t provide you with the promised vertical of skiing, then you will be duly compensated. However, if conditions are epic, and you want to ski more than agreed, we will be happy to provide this service for you – the rate being consistent with the rate for refunded vertical. Compared to other companies that may offer ‘unlimited vertical footage’, we believe our system to be the best for both parties.

While weather and snow conditions here in BC are generally excellent for heliskiing, they can also vary. That’s why when nature blesses us with bluebird days, and a couple of feet of fresh powder, we want to play as much as you do! Deciding to ski or board above the guarantee is not a problem: we get compensated for the additional costs, and you get the best runs of your life. Both parties are happy.

Similarly, with average conditions, both parties meet their obligations, ski some great lines, and no-one feels they need to push themselves just to “get their money’s worth”.

On those very rare weeks when weather conditions get in the way of skiing the guaranteed vertical, compensation is provided at a set rate per 1,000 vertical feet. Both the operator and guest would love to have skied more, but at least the guest is leaving with some money in their pocket. These funds will come in handy for your next heli skiing adventure when conditions are sure to be more favorable.

So, instead of trying to decide how much skiing you’ll manage prior to your heli ski trip, come and experience the conditions firsthand and then ski as much as you desire.
