Any amount of heliskiing Canada this winter is better than none, but since we have the largest tenure for you to ski in, we recommend you try to take as much time as you can spare to explore this vast playground.

While other heliski companies may offer ‘affordable’ day trips, taking you up to a well used drop off point with many more skiers, you can’t beat the great feeling of being away from everything to concentrate on skiing great runs. Removed from normal society, you’ll enter our world, which we’re happy and proud to share with you, where the first priority of each day is finding the best lines, and the last is worrying about work.

Whether you come on a 4, 5, or 7 day heli ski tour, we are satisfied that you’ll be so stoked you’ll soon be coming back for more. In fact, a large majority of our clients are returners, who, after coming along just for the ‘once in a lifetime experience’, have scheduled it into their yearly winter plans. So, any newcomers can expect to be welcomed in by the veteran heli skiers that are bound to be amongst our small community from week to week.

The actual amount of heli skiing you will do on your trip obviously depends on certain variables. The weather plays an important role in our winters up here, and we like to think that we’ve got exceptionally good at judging it. We will never fly in dangerous conditions – the safety of our clients is foremost when we heli ski, yet the amount of down days you can expect is extremely minimal. In fact, you have to be very unlucky to be grounded here during a week with all the amazing tree runs we have available.

The confidence and speed of the skiers in the group also determines the amount of heli skiing that can be accomplished in a day. With a group of strong advanced skiing buddies over a seven day tour you could get in over 180,000 vertical feet, the minimum guarantee we will get you skiing for this period is 100,000 feet.

But quantity isn’t always everything. After just a few days in northern BC with us at Last Frontier, you’ll probably have skied the best runs of your life, on some of the best and most varied terrain in the world. And this, along with our classic Canadian hospitality, is what keeps people coming back year after year.
